There are some extensions to Microsoft Visual Studio which do this, but there is also a built in way to open files directly. This saves a lot of time in solutions with a lot of files when you know exactly which file you want to open (and “Go to definition” etc isn’t an option)

It goes like this:

Ctrl+D , sets focus to the “Find” textbox which is part of the “Standard” toolbar in VS.

Type in the name of the file, eg “Kenguru.cs”

Ctrl+Shift+G , opens said file directly

Happy coding!
